Cleatus Lee Fleming, oldest son of Walter Henry Fleming and Minnie Bell Johnson Fleming, was born 07 Aug 1896 in Savoy, Fannin Co., TX died 18 Nov 1981 in Dallas Co., TX.

Cleatus was married four (possibly five) times but had no children with any of his wives. In addition to women, he enjoyed the outdoors; in particular, hunting with his dogs. Because his leatus' younger brother Archie Henry Fleming lived in the country, Cleatus would often leave his hunting dogs there during the weekdays. This was a source of aggravation to Archie's wife Eugenia Hurst Fleming.

Nieces Mary Jo Fleming Scribner and Patsy Fleming Cobb said that Cleatus was the black sheep of the family due to his many girlfriends and wives. Just as the family got used to one wife, they would find that he had divorced her and had married someone else.

Despite his rouge nature, Cleatus was well liked by all. According to niece Mary Jo, he was a "quite handsome, a charmer and a ladies' man."
